EU commissioner deploys the world's first Managed Endpoint security server to the Microsoft Cloud in Germany.
EU commissioner Günther Oettinger became the world's first user to deploy a cloud security solution developed by G DATA– Managed Endpoint Security, which is based on the Microsoft Azure architecture. With Managed Endpoint Security, which is based on the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, G DATA will become the first German provider of antivirus software to offer a modern, easy to manage security solution that meets the compliance requirements of many German SMEs for public cloud solutions – data storage in data centres in Germany.
Managed Endpoint Security offers small and medium-sized businesses all over the world a security solution that provides virus protection for Windows, Mac and Linux clients, a firewall for Windows PCs and Group Policy Management, to guarantee adherence to corporate guidelines in complex networks. G DATA will in the future be relying on the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform from Microsoft Cloud Deutschland to offer efficient management of IT infrastructure, such as storage or virtual machines. The service should be available in the second half of 2016.
With the Cloud in Germany, Microsoft is offering a solution that meets the strict data protection provisions and compliance guidelines in force in Germany. When the project starts, G DATA will be the only antivirus provider to be represented, with Managed Endpoint Security – a solution especially adapted to the Azure architecture. Dedicated data centres set up in Frankfurt and Magdeburg guarantee that sensitive corporate data belonging to our partners and customers is always fully protected against third-party access.
