Comparison test lab screens security solutions for their effectiveness in fending off spam email.
G DATA Internet Security left a good impression in the latest anti-spam test of the German computer magazine PCgo (edition 09/2016), performed in collaboration with test laboratory AV-Comparatives. The Bochum-based IT security provider's security solution detected 99.41 percent of more than 127,000 spam emails. G DATA Internet Security also impressed the testers with its ease of use and multiple configuration options. The comparison test shows that an effective spam filter can fend off almost all unwanted email before an inadvertent click leads to bigger problems. In this way, a major gateway for malware can be virtually shut off.
Anti-spam for protection against advertising and phishing emails is a fixed component of G DATA Internet Security and Total Protection. The technology scans the content of incoming emails. Malicious file attachments and links are then identified and blocked in advance.
“G DATA blocked 99.41 percent of all spam email in our test. [...] The spam protection is outstanding, and the configuration options are extensive.”
