Question:

The virus signature update only works when started manually.

Response:

The difference between a manually initiated update and a scheduled one is the user context. If you start the update manually, the process will be started in the context of the user currently logged on. Of course, the update process then has the user privileges of the relevant user. If the update is scheduled, however, it starts by default in the system context rather than in the context of the logged-on user. To change this, you should add a user account with access rights to the Internet or a proxy to the AVK schedule options.
