| Question: | The message “Database error: corrupt (KV/BD Engine)” appears. |
| Response: | Please proceed as follows: 1. The C:Program FilesAntiVirusKit 2006 folder contains a folder called UPDATEPGM. Please delete this folder. 2. Open AntiVirusKit. Under Options/Online Updates you will see a tick against “Version check”. Please remove the tick. 3. Run a program update (Actions -> Software Update). 4. Run a manual virus signature update (Actions -> Virus Update). 5. Now tick “Version check” again. The error message should now stop appearing. If this is a fatal error, you will have to carry out a complete re-installation. In this event, please uninstall the entire program, along with any settings and logs. Now, manually delete the C:Program FilesCommon FilesG DATAAVK Scanner folder. (If you do not have any other GData products installed on your PC, you can delete the entire G DATA folder). Now restart your computer and re-install the program.
