Since upgrading to the new version of AVK 2006 from an earlier version of AVK, I can no longer receive any emails.
Response:

The changes made to your email program by the earlier version of AVK installed on your system may have been reset incorrectly following uninstallation. Please ensure that the entries for the server and user name use your email provider’s settings and NOT 127.0.0.1.
