Bochum, 14 March 2008 - G DATA AntiVirus 2008 has just been crowned best virus protection for Vista in Computerbild managazine’s recent comparison (06/2008). Eight other anti-virus solutions were put up against G DATA in the competition for the crown but, as last year, they stood no chance! With the highest virus detection rate and the fastest response time to new risks, G DATA held off all challengers. ComputerBild: “Very good: on average, we were protected against new malware after just 19 minutes - best-in-test performance!”

According to ComputerBild, G DATA AntiVirus 2008 currently offers the best protection for PCs running Vista. In addition to the excellent detection and elimination of malware, the testers were particularly impressed by what could be a record-breaking response time. No other manufacturer could keep up with G DATA in this respect: only 19 minutes passed before G DATA AntiVirus 2008 was effectively protecting Vista against new viruses - over 30 minutes faster than the next best product.

“The G DATA DoubleScan technology showed its supremacy in this test too: 100% detection rates for known viruses and 99.79% for rare malware. No other manufacturer could deliver comparable results,” says Ralf Benzmüller, Head of G DATA Security Labs.

This is the fourth test win this season for G DATA AntiVirus 2008, having already been crowned best security program by PC WELT, PC WORLD and the Windows Vista magazine.
